Founded in 2023 by Alex Ruiz—before he even walked the stage at his high school graduation—Ruiz School Supplies was born out of a bold vision: to revolutionize the way schools access essential classroom materials, not just once a year, but every single day.
While many organizations focus solely on back-to-school season, Alex saw a critical gap: what about the rest of the year? With determination and drive, he created a nonprofit dedicated to educational development, with one unwavering goal—to ensure every school has the supplies they need to run effective, thriving classrooms year-round.
Through innovative thinking and streamlined systems, Alex developed a 24/7, 365-day-a-year supply request platform, turning what seemed impossible into a reality. This unique approach allows schools to access support whenever they need it, not just when the calendar says it’s time.
Ruiz School Supplies is more than a nonprofit—it’s a movement. Backed by partnerships with educators, financial experts, superintendents, and communities the foundation for long-term impact is solidly in place. Together with the community, we are building a future where every teacher and student in San Antonio—and beyond—has the tools to succeed.
